First Light Taxidermy Studio

I am 62 years young born in Richmond Va. my family moved west in the late fifties settling near Yreka Ca. Growing up in Siskiyou county I was afforded many opportunities to hunt throughout my youth. I still hunt and fish and have instilled this life style on my kids and now their kids.

Soon after my children where born I decided to have a more stable income and became an over the road truck driver owning my own trucks. Due to health condition I was forces to sell things and leave the profession.

For many years I had a fascination with Taxidermy, but could never be home long enough to pursue. Only after conditions changed did I have the opportunity to begin a two year apprentice program with the highly respected and award winning Taxidermist Brian Samuel. After much hands on study I became an award winning taxidermist in my own right, and began a "later in life career".

Married for 28 years with four adult children and 8 Grand children I feel prepared to meet this new challenge with the energy of a younger man.
